about the founders

late night projections was founded by a trio of women looking for an opportunity to stretch our creative wings. we set out on this project to develop a new kind of publication - one that gives emerging creatives the opportunity to share their passions without monetary barriers.

our goal is to form a collective of people who love art, culture, the printed word, and beautiful things.

  • celine

    design, visual strategy

celine is drawn to stories that explore human nature—the kind that make you think, feel deeply, and maybe hurt a little. she loves dark, emotionally intense, morally messy characters and anything that leaves a lasting impact. basically, she wants to cry.

finding creative solace in reading, exploring, and capturing photos of life’s most beautiful moments, celine feels most like herself when she’s outside her routine—especially in nature or somewhere new. ask her loved ones and they’ll tell you she’s compassionate, thoughtful, and observant (it’s true!).

she describes her personal taste as “eclectic” and “all over the place”. you may be surprised to know that despite her outwardly quiet demeanor, she’s incredibly reflective and holds her most precious relationships very close to her chest.

you’ll find her chasing small, beautiful moments—sunlight twinkling off water, fresh sheets, the full moon, and quiet time with her cats.

  • kaylee

    writer, managing editor

for kaylee, the most beautiful moments in life are simple—open windows, conversations with friends, birdsong in spring, watching her butterflies take off for the first time as summer ends.

character-driven narratives are the stories that draw her in—the ones that hurt a little, surprise her, and leave room for complexity (and, occasionally, a well-earned romantic subplot). she looooooves the drama.

when she’s not writing, you’ll find her gardening, watching films, doing crafts, or talking to the crows that live in her yard. her creative taste is ever evolving, shaped by a curiosity that pulls her in a hundred different directions at once.

passionate, eccentric, and a little hard to pin down, kaylee strives to bring both intensity and openness to the way she engages with stories.

  • melissa

    web, marketing

melissa has been described as “whimsical” but she has a sneaking suspicion that it’s a nice way of saying “chaotic”. no matter—she leans into it wholeheartedly, describing her personal style as “visually inspired by a kindergartener”.

despite her playful nature, melissa likes stories that don’t shy away from the mess—ones that tell uncomfortable truths and dig into the beauty and ugliness of being human. she’s got a soft spot for memoirs and a good psychological thriller.

she can usually be found taking photos (fun fact: all our photos are taken by melissa!), lost in a book, or doing a cute craft.

most herself when surrounded by friends (and her dog), melissa finds joy the ordinary moments—coffee at any hour, music blasting in the car, and a starry night sky.

oh, and she once wrote a musical about the loch ness monster.

we hope you feel…

connected. comforted. heard. included. understood. inspired.
