submission guidelines:

we accept:

★ essays

★ poetry

★ short stories

★ creative nonfiction

please submit:

  • poetry: 1-3 pieces, up to 1 page each

  • prose: 1-2 pieces, up to 2500 words each

  • visual art: 2-4 pieces

  • anyone! we welcome submissions from any and all creatives. whether you’re new to the space or you’ve been published previously, we want to hear from you.

  • we will do our best to get back to you within 30 days of submission. we do not currently have the capacity to critique rejected works, however you are welcome to resubmit for a later issue.

  • at this time, we are unable to pay contributors. we are a self-started publication run by three gals with limited budgets! however, we will take care to promote you and your work if your submission is selected.

  • you! late night projections asks for first north american serial rights, meaning your work must be previously unpublished. work should be original and from the original creator. we will publish, promote, and archive online. if your submission is later published elsewhere, let us know so we can congratulate you!

  • absolutely!

  • AI-generated work will not be accepted. we are by humans, for humans!

    racist, queerphobic, transphobic, misogynistic, xenophobic, fascist, exploitative, ableist, or appropriative work is not tolerated. we also do not publish works from those who express these views personally, even if it’s not present in your work.

    of course, we do not accept plagiarized works. if we become aware of any untoward behaviour or breaches of our guidelines, we reserve the right to remove your work from our website.
